Prostate cancer and enlarged prostate problems are constantly in the news headlines these days. The latest headline I saw on the TV during this week ended 4th July, 2008, was that it is estimated that one out of every nine male Australians will contract cancer of the prostate. That is a very disturbing statistic.

Enlarged prostate is a further aggravating and annoying problem experienced by many men past age 50. I know because I started to experience the beginning of enlarged prostate problems back around 2002. About the same time my regular annual prostate examination and blood tests indicated my PSA count had begun to climb to the top of what is considered to be the top of the normal range. The PSA count or level, from my knowledge as a layman, is an indicator as to whether one is entering danger territory as relates to the probability of contracting prostate cancer. If one has a PSA count above normal further examination is required.

A week or two later I happened to see a story on one of the evening 6.30 pm Today Tonight Shows (or similar) about a natural product called Ginger Punch which had been tested by the University of New South Wales to investigate claims that the Ginger Punch may be of great benefit in arresting and/or preventing the onset of prostate cancer. The story revealed that taking the Ginger Punch appeared to be effective in killing prostate cancer sells “in-situ”. Now as I said earlier I am just a layman, I know very little about medical matters, and I did not really understand all the business about killing cancer cells “insitu”, however having just had my news about increased PSA levels I thought Ginger Punch worth a try.

I tracked down the source of Ginger Punch. A company called “Dr Red Nutriceuticals” situated in Queensland that operates vineyards and produces the Ginger Punch along with a range of other specific fruit drinks. I placed an order for half a dozen bottles which were freighted to me here in Perth. The Ginger Punch arrived and I was delighted at how pleasant and refreshing the punch was to drink with either plain old water, or as a mixer with soda water, etc. The Ginger Punch was accompanied with writeups about the University research about the punch plus other data to do with prostate cancer and the benefits of the Ginger Punch. (Please note that at no time does Dr Red state that the Ginger Punch will cure cancer)

I continued to drink 15 mls of Ginger Punch mixed with either water or a mixer such as soda water twice a day. When I went back to the doctor three months later for a review of my PSA level, I was relieved to learn that the levels had flattened out. Now here we are six years later and I still take my daily dosage of Ginger Punch. My PSA levels have generally decreased over those years. They have certainly never increased to the danger point which was where they appeared to be heading way back in 2002.

An added benefit , for myself anyway, is that even though the enlarged prostate condition is still present it has never become any worse…thank goodness. Now whether that is also thanks to Ginger Punch I obviously cannot say. All I can say is that I dont suffer during the night as many men do who have an enlarged prostate. What I have noted is that on the odd occasion when I ran out of the Punch, back in the days when I had to get it shipped over from Queensland, that after several days of not having the Ginger Punch the “night” problems would start to return. So maybe the punch does assist, although I cannot guarantee that is the case.

Dr Red released a specific “Ginger Punch - Prostate Formula” a couple of years back which I believe was produced following further research. I switched to the Prostate formula as soon as it became available. The Ginger Punch plus the range of Dr Red Neutriceuticals is now available from a major group of Chemist shops throughout Australia which is great as I never run out of the Ginger Punch any more.

Please note once again that I am not a medical doctor, nor an expert in medical and health matters. I am simply a layman who is convinced that discovering Dr Red’s Ginger Punch when I did may have saved me from a major and dangerous health problem. I also have a friend who actually has fought a battle with prostate cancer for several years. I told him about the Ginger Punch and he has also been taking the product (along with other health drinks, etc) for a few years as well. The last time I saw him two months ago he was doing well.

Anway, for anyone looking to keep their prostate in a healthy state I can only go by my own experience and suggest you give the Ginger Punch - Prostate Formula a try. Please note I have not received any benefits from anyone, including Dr Red, for writing this review. I am sure the punch came along just in time for myself and for that I want to spread the word.

Plus it is an excellent and enjoyable health drink on top of everything else. Enjoy!
